Buena Vista Home Entertainment and their division, Dimension are currently preparing a DVD version of the highly acclaimed movie The Others, which will be released as a 2-disc Collector’s Edition later this year.

A young woman (Nicole Kidman) and her two children reside in a secluded island mansion awaiting the return of her husband from the war. Her children have a mysterious disease that won’t allow them to be near sunlight so she is vigilant about keeping the curtains and doors closed at all times. However, their isolated existence changes when three servants arrive to attend to the house and it becomes clear that there is more to the house then can be seen. Grace finds herself in a fight to keep her sanity and to keep her children safe.

The DVD will feature a 16×9 enhanced widescreen presentation of the movie in its original theatrical 1.85:1 aspect ratio. It will feature a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track in English, as well as French and Spanish language tracks.

A number of extras will be found on this 2-disc set, including a Documentary called “A Look Inside The Others.” A Visual EFX Featurette will also be part of the release, as well as Featurettes covering other aspects of the production, as well as a dedicated “,B>Behind The Scene Featurette. The disc will also contain the movie’s Theatrical Trailer and Biographies.
