Columbia TriStar announces Blind Date

The epitome of late eighties farce comedy, Blind Date is coming to DVD in February in from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.

When Walter Davis (Bruce Willis) is set up with gorgeous Nadia Gates (Kim Basinger), the perfect blind date dissolves into disaster. Walter invites beautiful southern belle Nadia to a button-down corporate dinner, expecting to impress his associates with this dazzling beauty. But all hell breaks loose when Nadia has “one too many” and reduces the evening, and Walter’s career, to shambles. Bad turns to worse when Nadia’s insanely jealous ex-beau (John Laroquette) discovers them together and decides to annihilate Walter. Can true love blossom amidst this hilarious havoc? Will Nadia and Walter ever get down to courting each other instead of courting disaster?

The disc contains both fullscreen and anamorphic widescreen transfers drawn from a new high definition master. Audio will be presented in Dolby Surround 2.0 and the disc will contain a theatrical trailer.

Arriving on the fifth of February, “Blind Date” comes for $24.95, much cheaper than a typical first date.
