Paramount also unleashes Patrick Swayze’s Ghost in April

And while we’re going down romantic memory lane, Paramount Home Video also just unveiled the full details about their release of Ghost, scheduled for April 24.

In “Ghost,” one fateful evening finds Sam Wheat and his girlfriend Molly walking home after an evening on the town, only to be surprised by a mugger with a gun who is not satisfied, it seems, with the money found in Sam’s wallet. Shot by the thief, and left for dead, Sam soon finds that his spirit is trapped between two worlds, leaving his ghost on Earth to investigate the true reason for the crime that killed him.

The DVD will contain an anamorphic widescreen transfer of the movie and also feature a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital audio track, complemented by a French Dolby Surround track. A running length commentary track by director Jerry Zucker and Oscar-winning writer Bruce Joel Rubin can also be found on this release, as well as the retrospective featurette “Ghost: Remembering the Magic” with behind-the-scenes footage.

“Ghost” will be released on April 24 and carry a suggested retail price of $29.99.
