With the release of the new movie "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, " Warner Home Video has also prepared a gift set containing all six Harry Potter movies to date, making them available to Blu-Ray fans as a tidy little set.

In the 7-disc set, you will find single-disc version of "Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone," "Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets," "Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban," "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire," and "Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix," as well as a disc version of the latest film "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince." Although, the films are presented in single-disc versions only, don't be fooled, as they still contain a lot of the bonus materials found on the previously released versions, making them perfect for all fans who want to enjoy the movies primarily and do not care to have every little gimmick or piece of footage associated with the films the way the newly released "Ultimate Edition" present the respective films. It is important to point out however, that these single-disc version still contain commentary tracks, featurettes and many other extras relating to the films.

In the case of the latest movie in the franchise, "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," you will find a 2-disc version of the film in the gift set, which is identical to the stand-alone release of the film with the sole exception that this version does not include the Digital Copy. The Maximum Movie Mode is included as well as the preview for the upcoming Harry Potter movie, along with interviews, featuretttes, Q&As and additional scenes from the film.

The quality of each of the films is – not unexpectedly – pristine. As these are the previously released Blu-Ray versions of the film bundled together, they are of the highest quality, presenting each movie in wonderful high definition transfers that are free of blemishes, defects or any other shortcomings. Outstanding image detail and deep blacks that give the picture incredible visual depth are the trademarks of these transfers, while vibrant color palettes match the magical story lines on the screen.

The same goes for the audio presentations of the films. Each coming with either a linear, lossless PCM track or a losslessly encoded Dolby TrueHD track, the audio presentations on these disc are of the highest possible caliber and virtually, as good as they get.

If you're trying to buy into the franchise in high definition for the first time, this box set is probably the best way to do it. You will get full versions of the movies, complete with special features, packed together in one fell swoop. As a Christmas present this gift set is actually perfect as it packs a mighty punch in a single box. Get it while you still have the time!
