Amazon Jail (DVD)
Blue Underground is known for its cult fare and with "Amazon Jail" we get to see one of their rather obscure European films. Not sure where this film fits in, though, and neither does this hapless film, it seems.
BloodRayne (DVD)
Video games usually don't make good movies. We've learned that lesson many times before but Uwe Boll thought he knew better when he decided to tackle "BloodRayne." Sadly, once again, this is a movie the world didn't really need.
Boston Legal: Season One (DVD)
From TV comedy mogul David E. Kelley comes "Boston Legal." Once again playing with the concept of a Boston law firm, in this series we get James Spader and William Shatner playing some truly funny characters.
Case Closed: In Hot Pursuit (DVD)
Coming from anime specialist FUNimation, "Case Closed" is a cool, crime-infused animated film-noir series, mixing James Bond elements with a bit of Sherlock Holmes for some inspired mysteries. Great stuff!
The Chappelle's Show: Lost Episodes (DVD)
Comedy Central has gathered the leftover scraps from Dave Chapelle's aborted comedy show and put them together in "Chappelle's Show: The Lost Episodes." Gabriel Garza took a closer look.
Commander In Chief: 2-Disc Inaugural Edition Part 1 (DVD)
Short-lived for network-political reasons, this TV show takes you deep into the machinations of Washington when the first female vice-president takes office and refuses to budge to political pressure.
The Culpepper Cattle Co. (DVD)
This is not the romantic Wild West of storybooks. In his movie about cattle drives in the West, director Dick Richards draws a picture that is dark, dangerous and gritty... and well worth seeing!
Daughters Of Darkness: Special Edition (DVD)
Blue Underground is bringing us the ultimate version of the vampire cult classic "Daughters Of Darkness." It is not your everyday vampire flick but a European interpretation full of sensuality and atmosphere.
Dumbland (DVD)
Okay, this cartoon is not for everyone. It is violent, crude and just plain weird - but not without its charms. As a fan of David Lynch, Gabriel Garza sat down and checked out this DVD for you.
Imagine Me and You (DVD)
A small production from Fox comes to DVD but despite its good intentions this romantic comedy does not live up to its potential. Too flat and gutless it never manages to stand out.
John Tucker Must Die (DVD)
Oh, how the mighty teen comedy has fallen! Gabe just found that teenage comedies are reaching new lows with each new genre entry these days.
Masters of Horror: Deer Woman (DVD)
another cool entry in the "Masters Of Horror" series is here, courtesy of director John Landis. As expected, the film is as funny and off-the-wall as it is entertaining. We took a closer look, of course.
The Matador (DVD)
This thrilling character study is very different from what you may expect and throws Pierce Brosnan into a wicked character that allows the actor to show what he's made of. Great stuff, so check it out!
Mirror Mask (DVD)
"MirrorMask" is an exceptionally well made film that offers up incredible visuals. The DVD version ensures that all these visual and sonic treats are nicely reproduced in your home.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (DVD)
Director Ivan Reitman made some great cult comedies but in recent years his films have been lacking somewhat. Sadly "My Super Ex-Girlfriend" is once again not really up to par as Gabe Garza found out.
Night Watch (DVD)
Russia is not exactly famous for its films but with "Night Watch" we have an enticing film here that crosses genres and makes for some great entertainment.
NYPD Blue: Season 4 (DVD)
In its fourth season "NYPD Blue" is going strong as ever and with 20th Century Fox's DVD set you can re-experience the show one episode at a time.
The Omen: Collector's Edition (DVD)
It was one of the most unique and influential horror films of its time. Now, the original "The Omen" has received a new DVD treatment and is as powerful as ever!
Red Dust (DVD)
A courtroom drama taking a look at the violence and injustices in South Africa this HBO film features a great cast and a great story, but stumbles a bit in its execution.
Reds: 25th Anniversary Edition (DVD)
Warren Beatty's drama is touching and riveting at the same time. It is a critically acclaimed film based on real events that is now celebrating its 25th Anniversary in style.
