| Ask The Dust (DVD) Set in depression era Los Angeles, this film discusses a romantic relationship between a Mexican girl and an Italian immigrant as they face a world of prejudice. Nicely put together, this film is now available on DVD.
| Big Momma's House 2 (DVD) Martin Lawrence dons the fat suit once again to go undercover. Predictable and without many surprises, this sequel comes across as a bit hapless and annoying but overall not without entertainment value.
| The Boondock Saints (DVD) A film showered in controversies. Not really so much because of its content but because of the way it came to life. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment now presents an unrated version of this story of two brothers who feel they are on a mission of God and go about killing people they perceive as evil. Check it out...
| Breakfast On Pluto (DVD) Here is another one of Neil Jordan's wonderfully quirky and exciting films. Telling the story of a boy who grows up to be different, this film once again shows many of Jordan's trademark elements and another stellar cast.
| Caroline Rhea: One Night Stand (DVD) Caroline Rhea is talking about what's bothering her in her stand-up act from HBO's "One Night Stand" series. While she may not be the most outspoken comedienne in the field, she's still good for a few chuckles.
| Cheaper By The Dozen 2 (DVD) What happens when you have a film with 12 kids and then throw in another 8 to compete against them? Mayhem, maybe? Or fun? In this movie you will find the answers and learn how Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt and Eugene Levy deal with such a situation.
| Cheeky! (DVD) Previously available only as an import release, here we have "Cheeky!" as an official unrated US release. Tinto Brass is known for the sexy comedies he made during the 1970s. Provocative, voyeuristic and funny, this is Italian movie fare like many of us have come to love from the director.
| Dennis Miller - All In (DVD) Dennis Miller used to be one of Saturday Night Live's brightest lights but over the years it has fizzled a bit and in his latest special, Miller seems indeed to have lost some of his funny.
| Glory Road (DVD) An inspirational film based on real events during the 1960s, "Glory Road" chronicles how coach Don Haskins put together the first all-black basketball team.
| Grandma's Boy: Unrated (DVD) Here we have another comedy that goes for the stoner and sex humor. While it may not be the greatest entry in the genre it still offers up some good laughs and a fun time.
| Hollow Man 2 (DVD) Paul Verhoeven's original movie may have been an incoherent disappointment but with this direct-to-video sequel the filmmakers at least try to create a decent backstory, though as Joe Lauper found out, it is a little slim in the special effects department.
| Hostel (DVD) Following up on his success with "Cabin Fever," Eli Roth has prepared another horror film that is raw and untamed, giving a twist on an esablished genre. And again he succeeds at creating something that is frightening and well worth seeing.
| It Waits (DVD) From Anchor Bay Home Entertainment comes another independent horror film but this time it doesn't really work that well. Joe Lauper took a closer look and tells you all about it.
| Lurking In Suburbia (DVD) It's a comedy... but not really funny. And yet, this film does have its moments if you view it as an observation flick, looking at the screwed up lives of other people.
| Magdalena's Brain (DVD) Independent films are often hit or miss and with Heretic's latest outing, "Magdalena's Brain" we're somewhere in between. You will find parts of it work quite well - especially the lead actress - while the rest falls short of expectation.
| Naina (DVD) Bollywood movies are not everyone's bag, but in the horror genre they fare even worse. "Naina" is a genre entry that is not only completely ripped off, but also really bad as Joe Lauper found out.
| Olympia (DVD) Despite its packaging claims, Pathfinder's DVD version of Leni Riefenstahl's 1936 documentary "Olympia" is not the uncut version of the film, as some footage is clearly missing. Filled with other contemporary extras, the release offers content, but the question remains, is it of any value or real interest?
| Ritual (DVD) Although it never had a theatrical release, this third "Tales From The Crypt" feature film once again clearly shows its roots. and best of all, the studio has finally decided to add a proper Cryptkeeper introduction to the film. Read all about it in our review.
| Road House (DVD) The film has gathered a notorious fan following, and it did so for a reason. It still is a fun movie to watch, filled with drama, action and really cool music. It is a child of the 80s, and to many that's what makes this film so special.
| Road House 2 (DVD) The sequel to a fan classic, any film would have difficulties living up to expectations, but with this direct-to-video sequel the franchise has lost much of its campy appeal.
