More info has arrived for Prince of Darkness

As we reported yesterday, Shout! Factory will release the John Carpenter horror classic Prince of Darkness on Blu-Ray Disc this fall. Today, we have received additional information for the release that we wanted to relay to you, of course.
Donald Pleasence, Jameson Parker, Lisa Blount, rock icon Alice Cooper, Victor Wong and Dennis Dun star in this gripping suspense thriller on the terrifying battle between mankind and the ultimate evil.  A group of graduate students and scientists uncover an ancient canister in an abandoned church. When they open it, they inadvertently unleash a strange liquid and an evil force on all of humanity. As the liquid turns their co-workers into zombies, the remaining members realize they have released the most unspeakable horror of them all. Terror mounts as the team must fight to save the world from a devilish fury that has been contained for over seven million years.
Aside for a 1080p high definition transfer with high definition audio, this Collector’s Edition will also include a solid number of brand new extras, along with a Commentary Track by John Carpenter.
Look for Sympathy For The Devil, an all-new Interview with Writer/Director John Carpenter, as well as an all-new interview with Actor & Rock Legend Alice Cooper, called Alice at the Apocalypse.
The Messenger is another brand new interviewon the release, featuring with Actor & Special Visual Effects Supervisor Robert Grasmere, while Hell On Earth offers you a look at the film’s score with Co-Composer Alan Howarth.
Horror’s Hallowed Grounds with host Sean Clark will also be included, as well as the movie’s Alternate Opening from the TV Version and the Original Theatrical Trailer.
“Prince of Darkness” will be in stores on September 24 for $29.93 so make sure to mark your calendars.
