| This is a list of discs that may cause problems. The list contains truly defective discs as well as such that have been reportedly causing problems during playback. If you know of any more discs that cause problems and are not part of this list, please let us know so that we can make this list as complete as possible. |

| 12 Monkeys (DTS) | The French subtitles printed on the packaging are missing from the disc |
| 7 Faces Of Dr. Lao | First generation Pioneer combi players have problem playing this disc. Call Pioneer at (888) 421-1404 for a firmware upgrade. |
| Aftershock: Earthquake In New York | The disc actually contains a full 5.1 audio mix instead of the Dolby Surround mix advertised on the packaging |
| Animal Farm | Despite the printing on the packaging, the disc actually contains a letterboxed version of the movie in a 1.85:1 aspect ratio rather than the advertised fullframe presentation. |
| Antz: Signature Selection | The disc states an aspect ratio of 2.35:1 while in fact it is 1.85:1, as correctly printed on the packaging. |

| The Hard Way | Not advertised on the packaging, the disc also contains a featurette and a music video |
| The Hunt For Red October | Sony DVP-S300/7000 - Player freezes in chapters 4-6 and picture looks scrambled. Only solutions currently seems to be to skip to the next chapter. |
| Kalifornia | May not function properly on Toshiba players. Polygram offers a remastered version to solve the problem. |
| The Kid | There are lockups on a number of players. If you experience the problem, please contact Buena Vista for replacement. |
| The Legend Of Mulan (DTS) | The disc does not contain the DVD-ROM features advertised on the packaging. |
| Lost In Space: Platinum Edition | Panasonic A110/310 - The disc sometimes locks up at the layer switch |
| The Man Who Knew Too Little | The music only track that is advertised in the disc's packaging is sadly missing from the release |
| The Matrix: Collector's Edition | A number of DVD players and DVD-ROM drives have problems with this release. Visit http://www.pcfriendly.com for technical support o nthe release. |
| The Mummy: Collector's Edition | There are selected problems running the disc on DXr2 DVD-ROM drives, but disabling Disc Detector allows the disc to play on these drives |

| The Rocketeer | This disc actually contains a 5.1 channel Dolby Digital, soundtrack as opposed to a Dolby Surround track as printed on the disc's packaging. |
| Scary Movie | A glitch with the Samsung 709 DVD player locks up the disc after the FBI logo. |
| Serial Mom: Special Edition | The disc contains a full 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack instead of the Dolby Surround track printed on the packaging |
| She's All That | This disc does not contain the 5.1 Surround soundtrack listed on the cover, but was pressed in stereo by mistake. Disney is not recalling this disc, but will correct the mistake on future pressings. |
| Silverado | Despite the printing on the packaging, the disc does not contain the film's orginal 2.35:1 transfer but one erroneously letterboxed at a 1.85:1 aspect ratio |

| Vampires | The photo gallery printed on the packaging is missing from the disc |
