VSDA ‘99  -  New Line Home Video’s First Night Bash

To get everyone in the right mindset for the VSDA show starting tomorrow, New Line Home Video just threw their Fourth Annual First Night Bash. At the “Soho”, a disco in the heart of Los Angeles, New Line had prepared a shagadelic event for their guests. By invitation only, the party guests were an eclectic mix of video retailers, industry people and stars. A groovy band in sixties

outfit with powerful disco and funk-tunes heated up the room until the end. Unfortunately the volume level of the party was a little too high for our taste, making conversation literally impossible. So you stand there with your beer in hand and simply wave at the people you know. Although a number of celebrities had been announced for the vent, only Verne Troyer - currently better known as Dr. Evil’s “Mini-Me” seemed to show up.  But fortunately he brought some friends with him , and so “Mini-Me” and “Willow” danced the night away among the other party guests, turning out to be really good sports.

Here are some impressions from the party for you, just so you get a feel for the atmosphere. As we had promised we will make sure to cover the VSDA show on a daily basis and bring you coverage directly from the show floor. We will try to get our reports to you

as soon as possible, but most likely we will be able to update the pages at night only, when then entire tohoowabohoo has died down. Nevertheless, make sure to stop by every day to get the hottest information directly from VSDA from the hottest source in town.
