Just around the time when he was cast as Boss Nass in George Lucas’ latest entry in his Star Wars saga “The Phantom Menace”, accomplished actor Brian Blessed made a public appearance in Chicago.
Steve Hill went to meet the star from films like “I, Claudius”, and “Flash Gordon” and had his copy of “Henry V” signed by the actor. Without deliberation, Steve asked him for a picture and when he accepted, Steve surprised him by taking off his own leather jacket, asking Brian to put it on. “He laughingly obliged, but only if I held his coffee,” Steve tells us, and reports that although Brian didn’t fit in the jacket, they both enjoyed the moment and took this great picture together. Ever since, the jacket has mysteriously changed. An otherworldly Force seems to have taken control of it... Thanks for sharing this Star Wars Episode with us, Steve. |
