Doug was out in California to visit friends in the summer of 1987 when the annual Celebrity Fair was held at The Burbank Studios Ranch. While getting the chance to see a working studio and enjoy the activities, he used up quite some film, taking pictures of settings and the over 100 celebrities that were around that day.

But one encounter stood out for Doug. Among many others he met Linda Hamilton, who he remembered from her movie Black Moon Rising, and of course her part a Sarah Connor in The Terminator. The two were talking for a while and Linda filled Doug in some of the secrets about her work on Beauty And The Beast, which would air much later that year. Of course, the meeting made an instant fan of Doug and he never missed an episode of the Beauty And The Beast TV show.
