Last night during the DVD Entertainment 2000 conference, this year’s DiVi Awards were unveiled during a ceremony with acclaimed film critic Leonard Maltin. To a crowd of around 250 people, the ceremony was fresh and entertaining, followed by a cocktail reception with a big band, sponsored by 5.1 Entertainment. As you may know, DVD Review has been one of the driving force behind this year’s DiVi Awards and last night’s celebration was a great finale for the work we had put into it. Congratulations go out to all the nominees and of course all the winners in this tight race! From over 200 submissions for this year’s awards, a list of the top five contenders in each category had been compiled previous to the Ceremony from which one final winner was picked in each category. Here now is a list of the nominees in each category, with the winners clearly highlighted. |
