Spend Saturday Mornings with Sid & Marty Krofft

The television programs of the delightful, yet oddly creepy Sid and Marty Krofft are coming to DVD this fall. To give the Saturday morning feel of things, one episode of each program is included.

H.R. Pufnstuf -Episode 1-“The Magic Path”

A young boy named Jimmy (Jack Wild) must protect his magic flute from the evil Witchiepoo (Billie Hayes) and her cohorts on the Living Island. He is aided by the island’s mayor, a friendly dragon named H.R. Pufnstuf.

The Bugaloos -Episode 1– “Firefly, Light My Fire”

In a magical forest, The Bugaloos are a rock “n” roll band of bugs whose demise is the sole preoccupation of Benita Bizarre played by Martha Raye and her henchmen, Woofer and Tweeter.

Lidsville -Episode 1- “World In A Hat”

After falling into a giant, magic hat, a young boy named Mark (Butch Patrick) lands in a strange world populated by talking headwear and the Evil Horatio W. Hoo Doo played by Charles Nelson Reilly.

Sigmund and The Sea Monsters -Episode 1– “The Monster Who Came To Dinner”

Brothers Johnny and Scott Stuart became the custodians of a sea monster named Sigmund Ooze after he is banished by his family for being insufficiently gruesome. Johnny Whitaker stars as Johnny.

Land of the Lost -Episode 1– “Cha-Ka”

A father and his two children are thrust through a doorway in time to a mysterious land populated by dinosaurs, ape-men called Pakuni, and dangerous night creatures, called Sleestak.

The Lost Saucer -Episode 1– “894X I Love You”

Jim Nabors and Ruth Buzzi are extraterrestrials Fi and Fum, who land on Earth and inadvertently kidnap a boy and his babysitter. Each effort to get the kids home brings them to a different Earth of the future.

Far Out Space Nuts -Episode 1 -“Its All In Your Mind”

Bob Denver and Chuck McCann play two bumbling NASA commissary employees who accidentally launch themselves into space. Their attempts to return home take them on a series of wacky adventures.

A commentary on Lidsville and interviews are also included on the set which arrives on August 2nd.
